Castellari Bergaglio makes its debut on www.degustare.com,
a site dedicated to reviews of fine quality wines.
The Pilin ’99 is defined as a “splendid example
of what the Cortese grape can achieve in expression” and
continues “the exuberance and liveliness of the Cortese
grape has been surprisingly ‘tamed’ by winemaking
procedures, bringing it into the limits of an initially satisfying
softness, supported by an unusually tangy flavour”.
Online magazine Enotime, run by an enologists’
organisation to spread wine culture and knowledge, also mentions
our winery: “Marco Bergaglio, at the helm of the family
winery, has made the most of the heritage offered by this land.

2004 |
His wines bear the faithful imprint of the vineyards
of origins. After a few years these wines yield
unique sensations, well-developed in their aromatic
niche, and very stylish…”
Castellari Bergaglio has been mentioned in prestigious
magazines like Grand Gourmet (September/October
2004) where the Rovereto Vigna Vecchia 2002 is described
thus: “a Cortese of some stature, firm and
tangy, to be savoured”; and in La Cucina
italiana (June 2004) where the Pilin is described
as “warm, smooth and well-structured, with
peaks of freshness”. A long article appeared
in the monthly Extra (June 2004), dedicated
to our passion for the Gavi area, our work in the
vineyards and winery and our wonderful winemaking
traditions.
Good reviews also appeared in Go Wine, Le
guide di Viaggi e sapori and in the prestigious Guida Ai Vini d’Italia dell’Espresso,
where the Gavi Rovereto Vigna Vecchia 2002 was awarded
three glasses.
The monthly Gambero Rosso described Gavi
Tassarolo Fornaci 2002 as having a “full,
fresh lingering flavour with rich structure and
nice minerally hints.” |
