From a phytosanitary point of view, it was a difficult season for powdery mildew, favored by the continuous presence of wind, particularly sea wind. The arrival of the summer heat was high, persistent, and relentless, with a July and August similar to 2003. It was a not very good year for production, and more could have been expected if there had been more rainfall. We certainly got lower alcohol content and more fragrance than in 2011.
